G1-4 Chinese Culture Week Series——Chinese Culture Week is Coming

Chinese Culture Week is one of the biggest and most important events in at SHSID’s primary section. This year Chinese Culture Week will start on April 22nd and objective is to introduce traditional Chinese culture and history to all of our primary students.

The first graders will learn about the Forbidden City and Chinese ancient poems. The second graders will learn about the twenty-four solar terms in China to try to understand the great wisdom of Chinese people living a harmonious life with nature. The third graders will recite Chinese ancient poems using the many different dialects in China to remind the students of how varied and amazing Chinese language can be. The Chinese Poetry Competition in grade four is a climax throughout the entire week. All the grade four students and teachers will share Chinese culture through these graceful and rhyming poems by performing them on stage.

Chinese Culture Week is always a great way for all of our students to learn about Chinese culture, history and spirit. Surely every student will enjoy this learning about the country that the live in!

品古诗、探国宝、知节气、学礼仪

——上中国际部小学段中国文化周拉开序幕

一年一度的上中国际部小学段文化重头戏——中国文化周于4月22日周一正式拉开序幕了！

在本次的中国文化周上，小学段的孩子们品古诗、探国宝、知节气、学礼仪，通过各种精彩有趣的活动，全方位感受中国文化的魅力和精髓。

一年级的孩子们以“故宫”为主题，学习了许多与这座伟大宫殿有关的历史与文化知识，还提前学习背诵了许多古诗，化身“侍卫”与“御猫”，古诗趣味闯关，寓教于乐；

二年级的孩子们将围绕着中国的二十四节气阅读许多相关书籍，了解中国古人顺应自然、改造自然的无穷智慧与博大胸怀；

三年级的中文老师们另辟蹊径，将要举办一场“方言诵诗大会”。相信孩子们在笑得前仰后合的同时，也会对中国各地丰富多彩的方言有更深切的体会吧！

四年级的“诗词大会”依然是整个中国文化周的重头大戏。老师和孩子们在台上出口成诵、尽显风流！

在接下来的一周中，上中国际部小学段的孩子们将沉浸在各种形式活泼、内容丰富的多媒体学习以及活动中。中国文化周，小学段孩子们的中国文化盛宴！
